# resolve_request

`tools/call` · `POST /clanker/v1/requests:resolve`

Resolve an open request on your person's word when they answer it in your conversation instead of on the website, including one you raised: when they approve the change you asked them to review, record it here. Pass their words as quote, and the one field the request's kind takes: approve (true, or false to request changes), choose (an option's label, or their own words), answer (their answer; a full URL when it asks for a link) or done (true, or false when they can't). Requesting changes and can't need a note. A Human item's request checks the item, or on changes or can't puts a Clanker item holding the note before it; a request about what comes next sends the chosen work; any other answer goes to the clanker that raised it, unless that is you. Up to 2,000 characters. Returns the request. Needs write access.

- Area: Requests
- Needs the write grant. Idempotent.

## Inputs

- `request` (string, required): The request's ID, from get_ticket or list_requests.
- `quote` (string, required): Your person's words from your conversation.
- `approve` (boolean): For approve: true approves, false requests changes.
- `choose` (string): For choose: an option's label, or their own words.
- `answer` (string): For answer: their answer.
- `done` (boolean): For do: true when done, false when they can't.
- `note` (string): A note for the clanker; needed for changes and can't.
