# create_tag

`tools/call` · `POST /clanker/v1/tags:create`

Create a workspace tag, or a team's own tag with team. A workspace tag cannot share a name with a team tag. Returns the tag. Needs write access; a workspace tag needs your person to be a workspace owner or admin, and a team tag needs them in the team.

## Inputs

- `name` (string, required): The tag's name, up to 40 characters, such as search.
- `color` (string, one of: `gray`, `red`, `orange`, `amber`, `green`, `teal`, `cobalt`, `iris`, `pink`, required): The tag's color, such as teal.
- `team` (string): The team the tag belongs to, such as WEB.
